Jon is a vastly experienced conductor, conducting teacher and orchestral tutor. Jon's conducting as Director of the MiSST Music Academy and MiSST Symphony Orchestra has seen him work alongside Nicola Benedetti, Wynton Marsalis, the Kanneh-Masons, Jess Gillam and Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber in world-renowned venues such as Theatre Royal Drury Lane, the Barbican, Camden Roundhouse, Cadogan Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall and the London Palladium. Jonathan's professional approach, high standards, passion and adaptability, combined with his unwavering commitment to providing extraordinary musical experiences to young people, regardless of their circumstance or background, are key to these successes and to the consistently high quality of performances produced. Outside of the youth orchestra world, Jon is also the Associate Conductor for Constella Philharmonic Orchestra and works regularly as the Assistant Conductor for Constella Music, the "creative powerhouse behind the award-winning composer and conductor Leo Geyer." Jon co-founded the Constella Philharmonic Orchestra in 2024, a brand new high quality amateur orchestra based in London. Jon will look to build on these experiences and what he has learnt in masterclasses, lessons and courses from teachers such as Tim Redmond, Peter Ash, Clark Rundell, Mark Heron, Natalia Luis-Bassa and Bob Pepper OBE in order to further his conducting career in the coming years. Jon is also a vastly experienced orchestral cello section tutor, previously with the Enfield Youth Symphony Orchestra and currently with the English Schools Orchestra.
